There is a literary device called ring composition found in many ancient stories. It is a chiastic pattern used to wrap a closed digression (e.g..A, B, C, C, B, A) into a narrative. Similarly, this track creates a closed loop where the sounds being heard on each pass are different than the previous pass. It's not exactly the same thing, but the track was inspired by the literary technique.
